Friday: Ladies Night | Saturday: Gala Day | Sunday: AFD Day

This year’s Gala will again be a 3-day event, running from Friday 8th June through to Sunday 10th June 2012.

As always the Community Assocation require a lot of help from villagers to make the Gala weekend a great success. If you wish to help out in any way please contact a member of the Community Association or call Donald on 07971 303944.

Friday 8th June - Ladies Karaoke and Curry Night

7.00pm - 10.30pm

Ladies night moves to the Friday of Gala weekend. The fun begins in the Gala marquee at 7.30pm. This year it will be a Curry Karaoke Party, all singin’  all dancin’! Buffet by Compston catering and a glass of bubbly on arrival, all for £10.

There will also be cocktails shaken up by Gordon from Flava, a nail bar by James Watt College, stand up bingo and fab raffle prizes. Last but not least, a PRICE FREEZE on all drinks at the bar which are selling at our 2010 prices.

Saturday 9th June - Gala Day!

12noon to 6.30pm!

There will be many activities, events and stalls at the Gala Day. Entry is free, so come along and enjoy a day out with the family. There will be various attractions including kids rides, inflatables, stalls from community groups, and the return of Wemyss Bay's Got Talent!

Activities, events and stalls will include:

• The Grand Opening! The Gala will begin at 12noon with the Grand Opening of the Gala followed by the crowning of the Gala King & Queen.
• Surf Simulator, Equalizer, Giant Slide!
• Mini-fairground including Tea Cups & Chair 'O' Planes.
• Wemyss Bay's Got Talent (from 4pm) - singing, dancing, music, comedy, whatever talent you have, this is your opportunity to perform! Application forms available from the Spar Shop in Wemyss Bay.
• Guides will be running the tea room, the cake and candy stall, the coconut shy!
• Beat the Keeper - run by Bible Club & Youth Group. £1 for 3 shots! Are you up for the challenge?
• Children's entertainment.
• Dancing displays.
• Bouncy castle.
• Licensed bar.
• Face painting.
• Craft village.
• Harkie's food van on site all day selling burgers etc.
• Lots more!

Sunday 10th June - AFD Gala Day

10.30am to 3.30pm - Prizegiving and Events

Ardgowan Football Development's Annual Gala Day will take place on Sunday 10th June 2012.

AFD would like to invite parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and friends to join the kids and coaches at our Gala Day celebrations on Sunday 10th June. This Gala Day will bring another fantastic year to a close and allow the kids to show off the skills they have developed over the last 12 months.

* As always we would be grateful if parents could bring a plate (or two) of food for the buffet.
