McMillan to meet with Transport Scotland over A78 Inverkip Junction

Stuart McMillan MSP SNP has today (Wednesday) received a response letter from Transport Scotland indicating they are happy to meet with him to discuss the recent traffic accidents at the A78 Inverkip North Junction.

Mr McMillan had written to the Chief Executive of Transport Scotland to highlight recent traffic accidents at the junction and to ask for a meeting to discuss the on-going issues surrounding road safety on the A78 at Inverkip.

Mr McMillan said, "Once again, the issue of road safety on the A78 at the Inverkip Junction has come to fore with a number of traffic accidents occurring.

"Therefore, I recently wrote to the Chief Executive of Transport Scotland to highlight these accidents and to seek a further meeting with transport bosses in-order to get to the bottom of the problems.

"I'm pleased Transport Scotland will meet with me, in the near future, after a review of the accidents has been completed.

"The issue of road safety on the A78 Inverkip Junction has been a long standing one and one which is not going away. Therefore, I will be making it clear to transport bosses that further action is required on the road network in-order to address road safety concerns."
