These photos were sent to us by Sandra Lupson, daughter of the late Thomas Moodie who was born at South Lodge (Bank House), Wemyss Bay in 1927 and lived there with his family until 1943.
Sandra told us, "Hi there! Because the demolishing of the Wemyss Bay Hotel is topical, I thought folk might like to see some photos of when my dad lived with his family at South Lodge (aka Bank House) opposite the hotel. There are also some photos before it was demolished, when my dad took my uncle Billy up to see the house for the last time. Such sad and nostalgic pictures...... we all have a little bit of the house, as there are plenty of the red sandstone bricks left on the shore. My brother had one piece carved for me into a thistle, it is so special."
